Project Gallery: Aleph 5

Hi to everybody,

This is my very first attempt to diy a Pass Labs design. I started with the making of the Aleph 5. I have read lots of reviews on this particular model. After the whole process, I’m very happy with the sound.

I have problems sourcing for the mosfets and heatsinks. After various thinking and trial, I finally settled down with the IRFP 240 and heatsink from RS Components. These are very costly heatsinks. I have also installed a protection circuit into the amplifier. The main transformer is a 500 VA toroidal and it is running at D.C. 42 v. It gives me more headroom and power. I have attached some pictures to show everybody.

Thank you Mr. Pass for his contributions to the DIY world.

Regards,

Ben.
